Born in Karwar, Mr. Kamat came to Mumbai in 1955, and to Borivali in 1973. He worked with BSES for 36 years before retiring as class one officer and in-charge of service costing department. Involved in quite a few social activities since his young age, he along with few other socially active people decided to float a bank in February 1982 and he was selected as first chairman of JANASEVA BANK. Before that, these friends constituted JANASEVA KENDRA on 1st January 1981, which rented out their place in Nanddham society to the Bank. He contributed as Chairman and then as a director for more than 15 years.

Mr. Kamat has lion’s share in nurturing JANASEVA KENDRA since its inception. Under his guidance JANASEVA KENDRA has done substantial selfless contribution in various fields including education, flood relief, cultural, helping meritorious students, etc. all over India. Several NGOs got decisive help in their formative years and thereafter only because of his inspiration and constant support.

Mr. Radheshyam Singhania, born in Harayana, is B. Com., L.L.B. and CA. He came to Mumbai in 1954 and is resident of Borivali since 1956 and passed CA in 1968 having office at Borivali. He was promotor and Director of JANASEVA BANK. He was instrumental in taking the bank to its heights and led the bank to high growth as a Chairman from 1990 to 1995. Thereafter he was director of JANASEVA BANK for two more years.

He alongwith Mr. Kamat and two other like-minded gentlemen founded JANASEVA KENDRA on 1st January 1981. Since then till today he is instrumental in ensuring that all legal, statutory and financial compliance are adhered to. His immaculate financial planning has helped Kendra to grow leaps and bounds to fulfil its vision of selfless obligation to the society. As a result of this, substantial financial help is given by Kendra to several NGOs and individuals all over India during last thirty five years.

Physics graduate from Mumbai University and later post-graduation in Management from NMIMS, Mr. Rege has worked in IT industry for almost 25 years. He has worked in few well-known companies like HCL, PCL, IBM, SUN Microsystems, and Glodyne, etc…. on various positions like General Manager, Vice President and Senior Vice President.

To pursue his passion of Wildlife and Nature photography, he opted to quit the IT industry and started his own venture. He is running his venture “NATURE UNLIMITED” successfully since last 6 years.

Mr. Rege is associated with Jana Seva Kendra since last 15 years. Currently he is Secretary of the Jana Seva Kendra and is actively involved in each and every activity of the Kendra. Apart from dedicating his time for Jana Seva Kendra he is also associated with couple of more NGOs which are working in various fields like Child Education & creating awareness about National Security.

Resident of Borivali since more than 53 years, Mr Sathe is associated with lots of social, cultural & educational activities since then. Being a banker as profession he has served in Banking sector for almost 40 years on various positions.

He is an inspiration to quite a few institutions which has seeded their roots and then grown up significantly in and around Borivali area. One of such ventures is “MORESHWAR SEVA SANGH LIBRARY” which started humbly in a small room and now has 3 branches and more than 6000 books. Truly a people’s man, he joined Jana Seva Kendra around 8 years back after his retirement from Banking fraternity.

Quite a few projects were designed and executed by Mr Sathe during last 8 years. The idea of having an institution like “VIVEKANANDA PRABODHINI” was first envisioned by him and then supported by the Trustees of Jana Seva Kendra.
